New full-time project team member position available with an independent non-profit organization working to improve sustainability in agriculture and communities through Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and other best practices.

The project team member will support the project team in promoting agricultural best practices to reduce phosphorus losses from fields, protecting water quality and soil health in the Great Lakes Basin. Primary duties include research, preparation of technical reports and outreach and communications to ag retailers, growers, and watershed organizations in the Great Lakes Basin. The ideal candidate will possess experience working at the intersection of agriculture and the environment and can think creatively working with ag retailers to facilitate and incentivize measurable conservation and nutrient management improvements.

Ideal candidate will have ability to work independently. Excellent verbal and written communications and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required. The project team member will report to the project coordinator.

Flexible schedule in a casual office, 30 to 40 hours per week, $12 hourly compensation. Benefits available include health insurance, dental, SIMPLE IRA plan and paid time off. Office is located in downtown Madison, on bus routes.
