Wisconsin’s Nutrient and Pest Management (NPM) Program works to promote agricultural practices that help protect water quality while sustaining the bottom line. The program assists farmers and agricultural professionals in decision making with the understanding of profit, practice, and environmental impact. The primary duty of the NPM Regional Outreach Specialist is to, “Coordinate and deliver educational programs that promote the adoption of agricultural best management practices for protecting water quality while maintaining or improving farm profitability.” There are currently two positions open; one position oversees Northeast Wisconsin, the other, North-central.
