The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is holding several trainings in April to educate producers on compliance under the more recent FDA Produce Safety Rule. Training must be completed based on annual produce sales. Producers that brought in more than $500,000 in sales will need to complete the training prior to this year’s growing season; those that obtained $250,000-$500,000 will need to complete the training before the 2019 growing season; lastly, producers that made less than $250,000 must complete training before the 2020 growing season.
