A new nitrogen test has been developed called the soil-test biological activity (STBA) which determines how much available nitrogen is in the soil based on organic matter. Currently, it is assumed that corn requires 1.2 pounds of nitrogen per bushel, but this recommendation does not factor in naturally occurring nitrogen in the soil. This new test can help you optimize yield and profit while keeping nutrients on fields and out of waterways. For more information, click here!
