A new soil health faculty position is now available at University of Missouri in Columbia. This is being advertised at both the assistant and associate professor level. Candidates at either career stage will be considered.
This is a unique opportunity to not only teach and do research on soil health, but also to oversee the large and growing Soil Health Assessment Center at the University of Missouri, which has become one of the leading university-based soil health testing labs.
The position will strengthen growing education programs, collaborate with other established University of Missouri research centers to garner major grants, form innovative new partnerships with private and public partners, and contribute greatly toward improving grant and publication metrics considered in the Association of American Universities’ rankings. Teaching may include undergraduate courses in land management for soil health, environmental soil microbiology, and graduate courses related to the individual’s expertise (total of 3-4 courses per year).
