On December 12, 2013, more than fifty ag retailers, certified crop advisors and water quality advocates joined us in Toledo, Ohio to learn about ways for ag retailers to get involved in collaborative nutrient management initiatives to enhance water quality and crop productivity in the Great Lakes watershed. More than 4000 Ohio non-operator farmland owners are being contacted by mail this month to join in the effort to reduce phosphorus losses from cropland in the Sandusky River Watershed. These landowners are being invited to learn more about the phosphorus issue, and engage with those who farm their land and the Sandusky River Watershed Coalition to identify and implement solutions.
